**How To Make Easter Cookies**

 

You will need
  • 90 g Butter , Room temperature
  • 100 g Billington's Golden Caster Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ tsp Vanillia Extract
  • 200 g Plain Flour
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 Sieve
  • 1 Large Bowl
  • 1 Cookie Cutters
  • Serves:
  • 9
  • Preparation Time:
  • 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Cooking Time:
  • 8 minutes
  • Oven Temperature:
  • 150° c  -  300° f

  1. Step 1: Sieve the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl and set aside

  2. Step 2: In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar until pale

  3. Step 3: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract

  4. Step 4: Add the flour to the butter mix and mix until the dough is formed

  5. Step 5: Wrap the cookie dough in cling and chill for at least one hour

  6. Step 6: Preheat the oven to 170 C/fan 150 C

  7. Step 7: Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about 0.5cm

  8. Step 8: Cut out the cookies and transfer to baking sheets

  9. Step 9: Roll up the trimmings and repeat stages above to make more cookies

  10. Step 10: Bake for 8 – 12 minutes until golden

  11. Step 11: Remove and transfer to a cooling wire and leave until completely cool before decorating
